Self-Reflection


How often do you spend time thinking about how your words and actions impact others? If we are being honest, the answer would be not often. It’s so much easier to just spout off our feelings and thoughts, make remarks, say and do whatever makes us feel better in the moment, isn’t it? Sometimes, these actions lead to us making some pretty serious apologies, right? What if you spent the day being intentional with your responses, thinking before we speak. How might this change the way we speak to and interact with those around us? We each have the power to tear people down, or lift them up with what we say. Today, choose to lift people up.

Romans 15:1-2

We who are strong must be considerate of those who are sensitive about things like this. We must not just please ourselves. We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.

Exodus 17:12

Moses’ arms soon became so tired he could no longer hold them up. So Aaron and Hur found a stone for him to sit on. Then they stood on each side of Moses, holding up his hands. So his hands held steady until sunset.

Luke 3:11
