There’s an easy way to “Be the Church” in our community over the next week. Feeding America needs volunteers for their mobile food panty on Wednesday, February 9th. You can get the details and sign up HERE.
Several times throughout the year, we take time after service to discuss business updates, plans and vision during our Core Meetings. If you consider yourself an active, core member of LSCC, join our next core meeting on February 27 right after 2nd service.
Operation Christmas Child is a project that brings the good news of Jesus Christ around the world, and we’re doing our part! This is how it works:
You pack the boxes with love and pray over them, then local ministry partners distribute your gifts to children affected by poverty, war, natural disaster, or disease.
After receiving the shoeboxes they are invited to enroll in a 12 lesson discipleship program where they will learn about Jesus and build important life long relationships. For most of these children this is their first ever Christmas gift.
There are a few ways you can get involved. You can grab a box or online instructions in the lobby to fill at home, or you may donate cash at the table. That money will be used for shipping these gifts and filling more boxes. Worshipping from home? City Fest is coming to Marquette on August 14th. “Taking the Church outside the walls,” City Fest is a free event for the community that shares the Gospel through extreme sports, fantastic musical performances and more.

Our next Men’s Breakfast will be Saturday, July 17, at 8am. This is simply a time for men to gather, eat together, and spend some time in God’s Word and discussion. Men, this is an easy gathering to invite friends, family, and coworkers! If offering childcare for this event would be helpful, please let us know!
One of the ways we’re giving back to our community is by building a free-to-play disc golf course around LSCC! We are working to complete construction of the first 9 holes sometime in August and hoping to expand to a full 18 hole course in 2022. Keep an eye out here on new information and course opening details.
We are excited to kick off our new 8 week Wednesday night adult study beginning on April 7th at 6pm. We will be taking a deep dive into the book of Ephesians. In our study, we will see clearly the love God has for us, the magnitude of the saving work of Christ on the cross, and learn how to better love and serve one another in the church.
