Brave

We are in strange times, frightening times, times when many are struggling to feel brave. Bravery is an interesting term. When thinking of bravery I’m led to think of a movie where you see a “boy” on a quest to discover himself. This quest leads a very uncertain “boy” through challenges that seem impossible to overcome, but in each situation a level of bravery is achieved. At the end of the movie you see this confident, brave man who has become an inspiring leader. This fits most if not all of the classic knights tale type of movies. I think we either assume bravery is like that, or like someone who has no fear, and will attempt anything, even unintelligent things. Bravery comes in many forms, and the one we are talking about is bravery in waiting. We are to wait patiently for the Lord, and this requires a level of bravery that you may not be familiar with. It takes courage and bravery to have patience, and wait. We love to jump into action, to take situations into our own hands, but we are taught to wait, wait on the Lord, trust in His plan, and be brave in waiting.
